What's at the top of the beanstalk?

Added on by Andrea Alway.

Oak class have been measuring their bean plants for the last time before they plant them in their gardens over Easter. They made fantastic observations about the plants deprived of light, food and water. Fabulous science work Oak!

Anti-Bullying Presentation with CLT

Added on by Chloe Turner.

During Snack and Story in Beech class this morning, three members of the CLT (Children's Leadership Team) gave a fantastic presentation on anti-bullying. The children talked about the work CLT have been doing to tackle bullying and discussed strategies to stop bullying with the children in Year 6. All children said this presentation was very well put together (they only had half a days notice!) and delivered, and how useful the information was.

Averages...

Added on by Chloe Turner.

This morning in Beech we worked in learning partners to find out different 'averages'. Children found out 'the average time children in Beech class spend on electronic devices/reading/playing outside/playing video games...'. Miss Turner was impressed by how well the children approached this activity, they worked well with their partners and as a whole class, showing great problem solving skills! Well done Year 6!

Guess my number

Added on by Andrea Alway.

Oak Class have been using fantastic mathematical vocabulary to guess the number their partner is thinking of. We used 'tens', 'ones', 'digit', 'more than' 'less than' and 'between' in our guesses to embed the learning we have been doing in class. A great game to play at home.

A visit from Phil the Pheasant

Added on by Willow.

These children were so quiet and still that Phil the Pheasant came to see them. Some of them were brave enough to feed him by hand. Phil has quite a sharp beak!
