Willow Class have learned our last letter of the alphabet today. We learned qu. One word we had to spell was quill, so we thought we would try writing with one!

Problem solving

In Beech we have spent the morning working in groups to solve difficult word problems involving fractions. Each child has shown great perseverance and problem solving skills. As a class we have shown Miss Turner and Mrs Monelle how well we can all work together - they were very impressed!

Snack Maths

Mrs. pillinger spotted some maths happening at snack time when these ladies began to arrange their water bottles by size. They discussed bigger, smaller, tallest and shortest.

How to trap a dragon!

We are busy learning about writing instructions and our next challenge is trapping those cheeky dragons that have been visiting at night. Oak Class have some fantastic ideas including rickety castles and enormous holes! Here are some pictures of us developing our ideas.

Following an early breakfast we split into our two groups : 10 Unicorns and Miss Turner's Minions. 

10 Unicorns begin with Quad biking, while Miss Turner's Minions begin with Jacob's ladder.
