We have enjoyed a wonderful climate change workshop this morning as recycling super heroes.
Party Land is using up the World's resources. Our super heroes will soon put a stop to their waste!

Following our learning of the Daedalus and Icarus myth, we have been studying wing formation and sunset watercolour paintings.
It was really enjoyable to practise watercolours again and build on the skills we used to paint watercolour pictures of mountains in term 1. This time, rather than a colour wash in a single blue for the sky, we had to blend and mix red, orange and yellow to create a natural sunset. After, we looked closely at Icarus style silhouettes and had to pay close attention to the human and bird mixed-form.
I can't wait to display them around school, the effort has led to some fantastic results.

Two of the girls decided they wanted a fashion show. We collected pieces of material, hair clips and dressing up clothes to create their fashions. The activity has become very popular! There is a lot of discussion and lots of children are helping each other out. We have a photographer. We have music and we have an audience. They have even been using their writing skills to make tickets.
Willow has been looking for words beginning with W, look at all the things we found.
