Connor and Harry W. Build themselves a house to sleep in. They challenged Mrs Phillips to crawl in....... She was too long and they couldn't shut the door.
Harry enjoying the house.
Connor shuts the door once Harry is in.

We used a metre stick To see which model was the longest.
Twe recorded our findings on a white board. Rufus had the widest model.
The children are trying out some different designs and techniques to make their planes fly as far as possible.
Throwing technique is important too...
Willow, Oak and Chestnut classes each have a butterfly garden in our classrooms. This is becoming a lovely summer tradition and fits really well with our theme of survival. We received the baby caterpillars just over a fortnight ago and have been tracking their growth. The first two have come out of their chrysalides within the last 24 hours and both are in Chestnut!
We are practising our numbers in chalk and water. I wonder what else we could use ...?
Willow class put on a show. Our audience even have snacks and ice cream to eat.
The crate den.
We worked together to build our inside den, we used chairs to make a home, we used pegs to keep the sheet up.
Rufus was a resilient learner, putting the bamboo chutes together and testing until the ball would roll all the way to the end.
Some amazing teamwork went on in order to create this long chute.
I wonder how it would be in the rain?...
Not you, Mrs. Phillips....
The chicks are growing so quickly!
These resilient chaps are making long number lines. What number will they get up to?
In view of the rainy weather, Ginger Bear told Mrs. Pillinger that he would
like a rain hat. Willow class tested some materials and, as we predicted, the cellophane was water proof.
We had to measure Ginger Bear's head to make the hats fit.
Some gentle weeding during our Golden Time.
The chicks are getting bigger by the minute. Yellow chick weighs 70 marbles today. That is more than 3 times more than he or she weighed 2 weeks ago!
They will be off on their holidays with Frankie today. How big will they be when we come back to school?
Will the children have grown as much as the chicks?
In 3 hours, Ms. Tanner will become Mrs. New.
Willow Class helped with the celebrations yesterday by raising a toast and eating cake and strawberries.
Cheers!
We held our own wedding and took photos for Ms. Tanner's card...
We loved looking at the propaganda posters from World War 2 and have had a lot of discussion about the huge role women played in the British efforts.
