Home Learning
The purposes of home learning change as children progress through the school. At Key Stage 1, the purpose is to develop a partnership with parents and to involve them actively in children's learning. Such activities may be games, spellings or number facts. As children get older the purpose will increasingly become an opportunity for them to develop the skill of independent learning. We also encourage children to take their reading books home, and for parents to help with their child's reading. Reading books and reading records should be kept in a reading folder which returns to school every day.
