As I’m sure you’ll be aware, the NEU (National Education Union) is planning to take industrial action on Wednesday 1st February 2023. This is a dispute between NEU members and the government, it is not a dispute with the school.
The decision to close the school is never taken lightly, but in this instance, where staff have elected to take lawful industrial action, I will have no choice but to take appropriate steps to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
The school will therefore be closed for all pupils on Wednesday 1st February 2023.
In the unlikely event that the NEU decides, at the last minute, to call off the strike, I will notify you all by text and the school will be open to all pupils.
