Emergency Conditions
Conditions sometimes arise which affect the normal running of the school; for example, extremely adverse weather or breakdown of facilities. A decision has to be made as to what action to take. The first consideration will always be the safety and welfare of children and staff, but the main objective is to keep the school open for as long as possible.
A decision to close the school would be made by the Head Teacher after consultation with the Chair of Governors (if conditions make this possible) and BBC Radio Wiltshire would be advised of the school's closure as early as possible. We would also advise parents via text and email if the school had to close due to unforeseen circumstances.
