Volunteering

Proactive parents are a valuable asset to any class and can help in a variety of ways. If you feel you would like to volunteer your time for this term, then please let us know by speaking with your child's teacher.

All volunteer helpers must be DBS checked (Disclosure and Barring Service
) and forms can be obtained from the school office.

The Reading Army

The Reading Army is an amazing team of volunteers including members of the public and parents who come into school every Thursday morning from 9:00 through to 10:20. It has proved very successful in helping children to realise their passion for reading and gives them a great opportunity to share a story with an adult.

The Reading Army is run by Mrs Liz James, who is a Teaching Assistant in Chestnut and Oak class. If you would like to volunteer on a regular basis or can just help out for one morning, then please contact Mrs James or the main office. You will need to be DSB checked to help out in school.

You will be rewarded with a lovely cup of tea and a biscuit!
