This afternoon our third chick hatched out. We were able to watch it hatch. " it was nice to see it hatch"
They are now resting in the incubator.
Silver Birch read their fabulous Beatrix Potter style stories to Willow Class this afternoon. We scampered home for chamomile tea after! What an adventure!
Willow Class have set our eggs today. We hope to have some chicks in three weeks time!
This morning, Max's Dad came and talked to us about his visit to South Africa. We were very interested in the shark he saw.
We found out that Great White sharks grow up to 6 metres long. Some children used a metre stick and lay down on the classroom floor to be a shark!
We drew a life size shark on the playground.
Some of the children have built themselves a bin lorry., "we are collecting the rubbish"
Off we go, there is room for us all.
Now is the time to tip the rubbish out!
We have created a show, the children haveput out seating, created their own tickets and popcorn to eat. We have taken it in turn to perform a show for other children in the class.
Two of the girls decided they wanted a fashion show. We collected pieces of material, hair clips and dressing up clothes to create their fashions. The activity has become very popular! There is a lot of discussion and lots of children are helping each other out. We have a photographer. We have music and we have an audience. They have even been using their writing skills to make tickets.
Willow has been looking for words beginning with W, look at all the things we found.
